Viva La Mexico

Finally the opportunity to take a trip to Mexico. I haven't been there since I was about 15. I use to go with my teammates when I was racing for Major Motion Development. I was excited, I love Mexico, everything about it, the culture, the food, it was just the break I needed. I got the call from a good family friend who's like my uncle, my decision had to be quick considering he contacted me Wednesday and the race was that Sunday. I was game for it so he booked me a ticket and I was off.

10 seconds till start, "I'm going to win" is the only thing going threw my head. 5 seconds to go I'm thinking "man my luck". The gun sounds and we were off. The race was hard but I was feeling pretty good considering there was a few attacks but only a few that caught my eye. Me and the guys riding with me kept a close watch. 2 laps to go and there was 2 guys 20 seconds up the road I was in the position to win, a few teams hit the front trying to bring the 2 man break back with no luck. With one to go I was sitting top 10 and on a 4k circuit that was a good position to be in. Coming into the sprint, that low seat height was getting to me. 1k to go there's a crash in front of me pushing me from 10th to in the 20's. With 500m to go I just went for it and I ended up 6th. I couldn't help but smile, what a prize, 6th place is not so bad considering how the day started.
